Tell Em what happened (type or talk)

Jot or say what happened after a call or showing. Em files the details for you.

You don't fill in forms in Em. You just tell her what happened, the way you'd tell a colleague on the drive back from a showing.

  1. Use the box at the top of Today, or the note box on someone's page.
  2. Type, or tap the microphone and talk.
  3. Em reads it and files what she heard: a budget, a timeline, the kids' names, a showing on Saturday, a promise to send something by Friday.

"Called Dana, pre-approved for 450, wants to see the Maple listing Saturday at 10, send her the HOA docs" becomes her budget, a showing on your calendar, and a to-do.

Em keeps track of your promises

Real estate runs on promises: "I'll send you the HOA docs by Friday," "Let me call the listing agent and find out." When you tell Em about one, in a note, a logged call, or an email you sent, she catches it and adds it as a to-do marked You promised, due when you said.

  • The day before it's due, she puts it on your Today list with a Write it button.
  • If it slips, she tells you plainly: send it now, or let them know when it's coming.
  • When a note or email shows you've done it, she checks it off.

It works the other way too. When a client says they'll get you something ("I'll send the signed addendum Monday"), Em marks it Waiting on them. If Monday comes and goes, she suggests a friendly nudge.

Promises also show up in the brief Em sends before you meet with someone, so you never walk in having forgotten one.

What Em fills in, and what she asks about

Small, clear details fill in right away, each with an Undo. Bigger things, like money, a change of stage, or replacing something already saved, wait in Needs your OK. Em would rather ask than guess. See When Em asks for your OK.

Talking doesn't record or store any audio. Your phone turns it into words, and only the words reach Em. Notes never use credits, so tell her everything.
